Instructions
Prepare the Custard: In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
Temper the Eggs: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually add a small amount of the hot milk mixture to the yolks while whisking constantly.
